What a great weekend we have had. The weather was beautiful and sunny. We don't get those days very often here in Washington so when we have one pretty day, we all appreciate it to the fullest!!!
Friday night Papa and I decided that we would try to have Valentina overnite for the first time. I did not expect it to go very well because when we went to Spokane and stayed in the Hotel, Valentina cried most of the night, even with her mama, she is use to her crib and likes it. Anyway, she did so well. She went to sleep at 7:30. Woke up at 8, looked around for a while and decided that it was ok, and went to sleep again at 8:45. She woke up around 2 for about 5 minutes, I told her she was with Beya and Papa and she cuddled up to me and went back to sleep. She did wake up for the day at 5:45 am, but it was with a smile!! I thought she had done so good for her first night away from Mama. I will try to do it for Cameo once a week. When we went to Guatemala for our visit trip, she slept with me everynight. So it was nice to cuddle with her again.
Asa's soccer game was on Saturday. It is so fun to watch him have so much fun. He just loves the game and the kids. He is so cute!!!!
After the game, we just hung out at Cameo and Norm's. We went outside because of the lovely day and the kids played. Asa played soccer again with Uncle Norm. It seemed that he ran all day!!
Saturday afternoon I cooked. That does not happen very often, but boxing (Gomez vs Cotto) was on that night, so I made Tacos, rice and fresh salsa. It took me 2 hours to get it done, but I use my mother in laws recipe and they are pretty good if I say so myself. One of my husbands friends ate 10 tacos!!!!!!!!!! Asa made cupcakes, they were very special of course.
Today, Sunday, I went with my husband as he worked. He always amazes me the way he drives that truck. He had to make two runs to Newberg so we had a nice time together. Valentina was glad to see us when we go home, so we took her out to the trailer for an hour and played with her. What a dear child.
I will get my dear Asa in the morning and we are planning to go to Gdale for a couple of days with him. He has his eye surgery on Thursday morning early, so please pray for him and a quick recovery. What a joyful child he is.
We are so blessed to have these two grandchildren to love and spoil. Life is Good!!!!!
